Dili, 18 February 2025 – The ANC Finance Administrator, Ms Georgina Emília da Silva Garcia, and her team received a courtesy visit from a delegation of the Japan Malaysia Technical Institute (JMTI) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at the ANC meeting room in Caicoli. The visit was to introduce the Third Country Training Program (TCTP), which each year trains people from developing countries, including Timor-Leste. In 2025, JMTI will run a training programme on "Cyber Security in the Digital Economy". As ANC is a beneficiary of the TCTP, JMTI and JICA also gathered ANC's views on cyber training, so that what they offer in future matches ANC's proposals, and to better understand ANC's current work and plans for building cybersecurity skills. The visit is also a key part of the preparation for the TCTP, which will run for three years, from 2025 to 2028.
